Garfield has over 30 years’ experience as a producer ranging through repertory theatre to experimental spaces. He continues to highlight the fluidity of emerging art forms challenging any formal definitions of identity and genre. He is interested in how both artists and audiences can engage in ideas, images and stories going beyond convention - sometimes blurring aesthetic boundaries by utilising a wide range of art forms to produce work, which is fresh and has global appeal. He is committed to building bridges between people and practice and making arts and culture accessible to all our communities.
